I have been a qualified dental nurse for 12 years and worked at Dove Dental care for 5 years since I moved into the area.
I am also qualified in Oral Health Education and a mentor for our trainee dental nurses.
I enjoy my job and find it very satisfying when one of our trainee nurses becomes a registered nurse and I have helped them accomplish their qualification.
When I'm not working I enjoy reading, days out and playing with my little boy.

Lorna moved from Glasgow to Derby in May 2014 and joined the team at Dove Dental Care that very same week!
Lorna is qualified in Dental Nursing, Dental sedation nursing and had a 2 year spell at the regional oral and maxillofacial unit at the southern general hospital in Glasgow. In wanting to develop her skills further, Lorna has recently gained the level 3 diploma in Treatment Co-ordination. In her role as Treatment Co-ordinator, Lorna spends time with new and existing clients discussing their dental needs and wishes.
Lorna also spends a lot of time with phobic clients, listening to their story and fears and helping them to understand and manage their anxieties before they even see a dental chair.
On her clinical days, Lorna, Sophie and Jennie make up the Sedation and Implant team who work alongside Stephen Shaffery and Gavin Welsh.
Outside of work Lorna enjoys to train hard at the gym, cycling and spending time with loved ones. Lorna is football daft and is a massive fan of Glasgow's Green and White.
