So lets all pay that bit more attention to how we look after our teeth this September. Ensure you brush at least twice per day with fluoride toothpaste and make sure that you replace your toothbrush regularly.  Avoid sugary snacks between meals and visit your dentist regularly.

Sachin is part of the Dental Project Peru and as a volunteer, from the 6th to 19th of October, he’ll be providing his services free of charge to some of the most impoverished people in the country. Dental Project Peru (http://www.dentalprojectperu.org/) focuses a majority of its efforts on the Apurimac region, located in the high Andes of Peru, at an average elevation of between 3,000 and 5,000 metres above sea level.

With a population of roughly 50,000, they are currently serviced by just 2 Peruvian dentists who are said to be non-mobile, poorly equipped and under-funded. A majority of this population find it extremely difficult to acquire treatment. Unlike in Derby, most of the population has never seen a dentist or received dental treatment and education. Therefore pain and infection often go untreated.

We’re over the moon that a member of the Dove Dental Care team has volunteered his high level of expertise and time to help fill this huge gap in Peru’s health care.

Dental Nurse Analise Chaffe has been wowing patients with the introduction of her superb new treatment, the Zoom In-Office Whitening System.
