Oral Cancer Awareness Month

We’d like to bring to your attention Oral Cancer Awareness Month which begins on the 1st of November. Mouth cancer is diagnosed in 5000 people each year and unfortunately kills 2000 people annually. However, early diagnosis gives patients a 90% chance of survival.
Here at Dove Dental Care we routinely screen patients at each exam and we also promote that people undertake a simple self examination. So our message to all throughout Oral Cancer Awareness Month is simple: “If something unusual appears in your mouth and does not clear, please see your dentist or doctor without delay”.
